APSY Fall Orientation September 3, 2009

Orientation Day - September 3, 2009

Dear New and Returning Students, Faculty Members, and Administrative Staff:

On behalf of the Division of Applied Psychology (APSY) I welcome you back to campus life. While many of you may still be in holiday mode, we're less than a month away from the start of classes.

To new students, I join our Associate Dean, Dr. Vicki Schwean and my colleagues, in welcoming you to our division and to the learning opportunities ahead of you.

To returning students, this upcoming year offers many new opportunities to build on the knowledge you've already gained.

To launch the 2009/2010 academic year on September 3, we're hosting an Orientation Day. It's a day in which your professors, administrative staff and students' union executive get together to introduce themselves, and for you to get a better sense of what being an APSY student entails, while picking up a few pointers on how to make the best of your academic and social lives.

An additional orientation is prepared for graduate students across all of the divisions, departments and faculties of UofC for Friday, September 4th. But our APSY Orientation on September 3rd is specifically designed to acquaint you with graduate student life in your home division.

For those of you taking distance learning programs, we've arranged the technological means to include you in most of the latter day's activities.

Below is a schedule of the day's activities we have planned for you - a day intended to help you feel at home through a variety of activities. I look forward to seeing all of you there.
