The Doucette Library now has a Facebook page – and we’d be thrilled if you’d all become ‘fans’. We’ll use the page to post information about upcoming Doucette events, and other noteworthy news. Just sign into Facebook and search for Doucette Library. The Doucette Library now has a blog! Called Apples with Many Seeds (did you know that’s the meaning of pomegranate?) it’s full of the seeds of great ideas about resources that can provide inspiration for your lessons. Its part of our companion Doucette Library Recommendations website, where we share our expertise with you – in the case of the blog, the expertise belongs to Tammy Flanders, our Reference Coordinator, who has an amazing knowledge of resources and is very creative about curriculum connections.
The Doucette Library of Teaching Resources has been established by the Faculty of Education to meet the unique needs of undergraduate teacher-preparation students.
The collection includes…
- professional materials about teaching and learning
- Alberta curriculum documents
- children's and young adult literature
- teaching resources in many different formats for use ECS to High School (English and French)
- theses and dissertations written in the Faculty.
The Technology Support Unit operates out of the Doucette Library, providing expertise and a wide array of computer technology and multimedia equipment to Education students and faculty members.
