EDER 669.50 Language Teaching Methods

Overview: 

Examines past and current approaches, methods and techniques for teaching English as a second language to stimulate students' evolving beliefs about teaching and learning EFL/ESL.  The course is structured around a series of projects and enabling tasks that will support the development of a more critical pedagogy:  informed, intentional, reflective and practical.  Students will evaluate methods of teaching second languages over the past century as well as methods of computer-assisted language learning.
