September 2, 2009 - Whether you’re new to the U of C or an old hand the annual Kickoff celebration is a great way to start the school year.

Kickoff begins Friday, September 11 with the Red Friday Rally on the lawn outside the Science A and the MacEwan Student Centre Link and concludes Saturday, September 12 with a barbeque, tailgate party and grudge match between the Dinos and Golden Bears at McMahon Stadium.

Making this year’s event bigger and better are two new competitions. Students, alumni, staff and faculty are invited to submit a 30 second video promoting Kickoff ’09 with the winner receiving a MacBook. Stick around during halftime and help choose the Dinos Most Devoted Fan who will receive adulation and $2500 towards tuition.

Don’t forget to stop by the Faculty of Education’s tailgate booth to learn about the fine work going on at the English for Academic Purposes department and enter our prize draws.
