Eco-Conference explores ecological challenges and environmental citizenship

Building Bridges, Crossing Boundaries is an interdisciplinary eco-conference for professionals and practitioners such as social workers, teachers, psychologists, environmentalists, nurses, social service deliverers, environmental educators, activists, and mental health professionals who wish to partake in the growing global dialogue for creatively engaging the challenges and opportunities we now face regarding the evidence of serious ecological decline.

This three-day conference includes keynote addresses by David Orr on ecological literacy, Joanna Macy on ecological issues and social empowerment and Nettie Wiebe on environmental ethics. Other events include: plenary sessions with Karsten Heuer and Dorothy Goldin Rosenberg, over 50 workshops and presentations, a full day pre-conference workshop with Joanna Macy and the Alberta premiere of the award winning documentary Toxic Trespass.
